IRS-recognized 501(c)(3)

Your gift can help the next solution happen.

Access Made Iowa is recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3). Qualifying charitable contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Secure online giving is being arranged. In the meantime, you can email us to ask how to contribute funds or useful supplies. Please do not email payment-card or bank information.

Exact postage paid by a recipient is a shipping reimbursement, not a charitable donation. Giving never affects eligibility or priority for a free adaptation.

Where donations go

Keep the overhead boring.

The goal is not to build an office. The goal is to keep enough practical infrastructure around the makers that a small request can actually get finished.

Materials

Filament, TPU, fasteners, magnets, Velcro, foam and build consumables.

Prototypes

Failed prints and second attempts are normal program costs.

Access

Fab Lab memberships, machine fees, software and specialized tools.

Shipping

Packaging and postage assistance for recipients who need it.

In-kind giving

Useful materials & equipment

We may accept appropriate filament, fasteners, magnets, build plates, switches, packaging and fabrication equipment when the organization can actually use them.

Not every donated object is useful. Please ask before dropping off equipment.

Recurring giving

Supporters, not legal members.

Recurring donors can keep a predictable trickle of materials moving without creating statutory voting memberships or unnecessary governance complexity.

Core rule: receiving an adaptation never requires a donation. A donation does not move a request ahead in line.

Tax status: Access Made Iowa is an Iowa nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS under section 501(c)(3). Donations are subject to applicable charitable deduction rules. For donor verification, you may consult the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search or request our determination letter by email.
